Tucson's opened in 1990 to bring the flavors of the Great Southwest to Pinellas County and was one of the early large independent restaurants on Ulmerton Road.Developed by Les Rubin during the restaurant evolution, it entertained guests as a party place, a micro brewery, and now a warm Southwest restaurant with an intense focus on “made from scratch” food quality.
Mr. Earp, by age 20, had worked in the restaurant business and had already held every full-service hourly position including head line cook and wine steward. He worked through school and graduated with a BS from the University of the State of New York while also serving in the Navy. In 1983, after receiving an Honorable Discharge, Mr. Earp continued in restaurant management.
